Combination Classes – Ballet & Tap Instruction in a One Hour Class Format

• Creative Movement: Ages 2–3

Designed to develop your child's movement & classroom skills through reactive play, music and dance. back to top

• Level 1 Combo: Ages 3–5

This class is designed for the beginning dancer to prepare them for more structured ballet & tap classes. Dancers will learn the basics of Ballet and Tap technique while having fun and learning to love dance at this young age. back to top

• Level 2 Combo: Ages 3–5

These young dancers are trained in both Ballet and Tap technique. They are quick learners at this young age and will be prepared for the structure of our individual Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop which they can choose after having mastered this class. back to top

ATTIRE: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes with black elastic or tap ties.

Classes For Ages 6 & Up:

• ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance. Students are highly encouraged to study it first or along with other dance forms. Body placement, flexibility, balance, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre and center floor work. back to top

Attire: Black leotard, pink tights & pink ballet shoes. Hair should be secured back in a bun. Boys should wear black pants, white t-shirt, and white ballet shoes.

• tap

Excellent for coordination and will develop rhythm, musicality and coordination. Dancers will practice rhythmic patterns and combinations with tap shoes. It is a studio favorite, we believe our instructors provide the best Tap instruction in the Metroplex – for all ages! back to top

Attire: Dance top, booty short or pant. Preferred shoe is Bloch Tap Flex.

• jazz

This form of dance requires a ballet foundation for ultimate success. Jazz teaches basic jazz steps and terminology while learning stage presence and coordination. back to top

Attire: Dance Top/Bra Top, booty short pants. Preferred shoe is Bloch Super Jazz pull-on jazz shoe.

• hip hop

Fun filled class designed to teach coordination, strength, quickness, agility and endurance. Great experience for any dancer especially those interested in improving their performing skills as a dancer or cheerleader. back to top

Attire: Comfortable street wear, any style tennis shoe or high top.

Ages 10 & Up: Add-On Classes

• Lyrical

A very stylized form of dance requiring proper ballet, and jazz technique. This form of dance is expressive focusing on feelings, emotions & style. It is expressive and encompasses contractions, control, and isolations of movements. Ballet experience is recommended for enrollment. back to top

Attire: Dance top/Bra top, foot paws or jazz shoes

• leaps and turns

Technique class focusing on the precision of turns and advancement. A one hour class of strictly across the floor technique, working to master proper body placement and alignment. back to top

Attire: Dance top/Bra top, Jazz Shoes

• conditioning/flex

Designed to build strength, endurance, flexibility & core strength. Classes will be diverse to allow cross-training. Class is highly recommended. back to top

Ages 12 & Up: Add-On Classes

• Pointe:

Dancing on pointe, is the act of standing on the tips of the toes while performing steps from ballet. Also known as pointe work, it is performed using hard–toed and stiff-shanked pointe shoes. Dancing on pointe requires strength and skill that is obtained by consistent ballet training for a number of years. back to top

• Variations:

This class requires current ballet training and incorporates ballet technique with an emphasis on artistic expression and stage presence. This is a great class for any dancer wishing to experience the joy of dance, and to develop their performance skills! back to top

Specialty classes & Mini-workshops designed to prepare you for try-outs or to strengthen your skills for your squad.

Mini-workshops are available for your groups – we custom design it to meet your team’s needs. Officer workshops, choreography & solo choreography is available. Our staff is well versed in what it takes to be the BEST on the field.

Designed to prepare your dancer for high school drill team by instilling proper technique for field performance, kicks, precision, pom and props. back to top

• Drill Team

Class is designed to specifically to enrich the dancers already on a High School drill team. Jazz, Pom, Kick, Line Precision are taught to meet the requirements for Lariettes & Silver Stars as well as other surrounding city drill teams.
